Avon Lake School District has switched to PowerSchool, a new electronic gradebook.  One of the great features of PowerSchool is that it has two frees apps (PowerStudent and PowerParent) that will make viewing and tracking grades easy for both students and parents.  Please click here for more information regarding this free app.

Students are asked to follow my classroom Twitter account @_mrswalters.  I will tweet homework reminders, as well as assign reflection questions that students will need to tweet out.  You do NOT need a smart phone to have a Twitter account.  You can use iPads, iPods,   tablets, or just a regular computer.

I highly encourage parents to follow my Twitter account. Click here for more information on using social media in the classroom.

This year Avon Lake has been invited to take part in BETA testing Google's new Google Classroom.  Google Classroom allows teachers to assign lessons, communicate easier with students, and helps students keep track of homework deadlines.
